Terms of Service

Last updated: June 15, 2026

1. Who we are

QuestMaster is operated by Ascended Entertainment(“we,” “us,” or “QuestMaster”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Ascended Entertainment governing your access to and use of the QuestMasterweb application and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

QuestMaster is a toolkit that helps a Dungeon Master prepare and run tabletop role-playing games: a virtual tabletop, rules reference, worldbuilding tools, and optional AI-assisted generation. The Service assists the DM. It does not run your game for you, and it never makes narrative or player decisions on its own. Features, tiers, and limits may change as the Service evolves.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Tell us at questmaster@ascendedent.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (at least 13, or the minimum age required where you live).

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the campaigns, worlds, notes, characters, uploads, and other material you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not sell it. See the Acceptable Use & Content policy for how AI-generated material and the D&D fan-content rules apply.

5. AI features and your API keys

AI generation is optional. When you connect your own AI provider key (“bring your own key”), prompts and the content you ask us to process are sent to that provider under their terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for your use of third-party AI providers and for any costs they charge. Anything the AI can do, you can do by hand; the DM is always the driver.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. A full list of prohibited conduct, content ownership, and the Wizards of the Coast fan-content rules live in the Acceptable Use & Content policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans, renewals, and refunds are described in the Refund & Billing Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Bring-your-own-key AI use is free on every tier; you still pay your AI provider directly for their usage.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (for example, hosting, database, payment, and AI providers). Their availability and terms are outside our control. The open-source and openly-licensed work QuestMaster builds on is listed in Credits & Attribution.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings; deletion permanently removes your campaigns, files, and account data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of material that matters to you (the data export tool is provided for this).

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ascended Entertainment will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or 50 USD.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
