Common questions
Is AI included in the paid plans?
No - and that’s on purpose. AI is bring-your-own-key and free on every plan, including the free tier. Paid plans sell more campaigns and players, the full homebrew / custom compendium, in-app continent generation, co-DM seats, and early/beta access - not AI. See key setup.
What does each tier unlock?
More campaigns and players as you go up, the full homebrew / custom compendium (the free tier gets a small taste), plus in-app continent generation (higher allowance on Archmage), co-DM seats, and early access. Compare them on the pricing page.
How do I upgrade?
On the pricing page, pick a plan and click Get started - that opens secure Stripe checkout. Your plan takes effect immediately after payment.
How do I cancel?
Go to Account ▸ Billing and open the customer portal to cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period - you keep your plan until then, and it won’t renew.
What happens when I hit a limit?
You’ll see a clear message with an upgrade option instead of an error - nothing is deleted. For example, at your campaign cap the “New campaign” option shows an upgrade prompt rather than creating one.
